Wendy Holcomb, Community Volunteer
TRA Medical Imaging Foundation Board Director
Wendy Holcomb recently retired from the Foundation for Tacoma Students, where she served as the Strategy Manager for Campaign Free Aid and the Network Manager for the Tacoma College Support Network. She was born in Baltimore, MD and raised on the east coast, but has resided in Tacoma for the past 38 years and considers Tacoma her hometown. Wendy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and education from Bucknell University and a Master’s degree in history from Northern Illinois University. Prior to working at FFTS, Wendy taught high school for 20 years and served as a parent educator with Stand for Children. She and her husband Mark have three grown children, all Tacoma Public School graduates.
Wendy loves travel, reading, cooking, dancing, and being in nature and walking her dog, Kora. She is passionate about working collectively to make a difference in creating more equitable educational systems and pathways to living wage careers for students.

Bart Thompson is a seasoned healthcare executive with 25 years of leadership in medical imaging, bringing extensive experience in both hospital and outpatient imaging environments. With a proven track record of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and patient-centered care, he has successfully led multidisciplinary teams across diagnostic imaging, breast health, radiation oncology, and interventional radiology.
Throughout his career, Bart has been instrumental in developing innovative imaging
programs, optimizing clinical workflows, and fostering collaborative partnerships to
enhance access to high-quality imaging services. His expertise in advancing imaging
technologies, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship has contributed to the growth and sustainability of imaging departments in complex healthcare settings.
As a dedicated advocate for patient care and community health, Bart is committed to advancing the mission of the foundation by leveraging his deep industry knowledge, leadership experience, and passion for healthcare innovation. He is eager to contribute strategic insights and governance expertise to support the foundation’s initiatives in improving healthcare accessibility, education, and patient outcomes.
